Eventually I found that installing busybox fixed the issue - not sure why it wasn't installed already!! I tried all this installing on Oxygen OS on my OPX, however nothing would enable root access. PS: if you don't trust my files, look at the names and copy them yourself from a fresh copy of CyanogenMod. Oh and don't forget to chmod 755 all of them, otherwise the app will just crash.ĭownload link of the files: goo.gl 3SuHrb (it's on google drive and sorry, can't post real links yet)

The files all go in the /system/xbin folder and if root access somehow works you should already have them. I've, installed this on the OnePlus Two running stock Oxygen OS just as an apk, it worked but I wasn't able to get root permissions working at first so I looked at logcat and it revealed that it was missing a few files so I got myself a copy of CyanogenMod and copied all the files.Įven though it requires some files that seem like it should support archives I didn't seem to be able to get it working. There are 3 ways, you can install the file manager:ġ) You can try to install the downloaded apk just as a normal apk, if this doesn't work, try another way (2 or 3)Ģ) go to recovery -> install -> choose the downloaded zip fileġ) Copy the apk with a excisting file manager with root access to /system/appsĢ) Change file permissions to rw-r-r (like all the others apps in this folder)Ĥ) Enjoy everything of the CM file manager on your custom rom When you have this problem, take an older version. It can be that if you are running on Android 4.1 for example the filemanager V1.0.3 and higher doesnt work. So I started to extract the apk and give it to you all!įirst check your Android Version. Everytime there is no file manager and that ***** me up every time. I love CyanogenMod but what when I am using another custom rom, not based on CM (f.e.
